Our work in the Midwest region began and has remained anchored by significant funder partnerships, the first being a project with the Wallace Foundation and a cohort of Out-of-school-time program providers (read about it here!). More recently, we have partnered with the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, JP Morgan Chase, IFF and other Midwest partners to provide training and technical assistance to nonprofits in Chicago and across the Midwest at critical moments in their lifecycles.

TESTIMONIALS
It was one of the best presentations I’ve seen on financial management for nonprofit professionals – and I’ve spent years advocating for better financial education…
WOW!!! I’m a start-up non-profit with lots of support. So much so that I find I’m falling behind due to those who are eager to help. A great problem to have. Your program is so, so perfect to help my accounting person to who is retired from the corporate world to help him understand more about the non-profit side. Also, the consideration to include in-direct expenses to each project is invaluable. WOW!!!
Thank you VERY much for the BDO FMA seminar in Denver this week… It was so informative, eye opening and fantastic! We cannot thank you enough!
I just want to send a big Thank You to you for selecting us for the technical assistance project (Financial Infrastructure Review). The final report is incredibly helpful to us as we continue to create more efficient systems and processes moving forward. Melissa and Sarah were absolutely terrific throughout the entire process. I don’t know where else I could have received this kind of assistance. I hope this program continues for many years to come so that others can experience this great opportunity.
FMA provides the best trainings for practitioners that I have experienced, and I hope DCYF continues to provide opportunities to work with them for grantees.
FMA is fantastic + such a huge asset to DCYF grantees. I strongly recommend continuing to work w/ them around finance and budgeting training/technical assistance.
